Boosting Multi-Platform Capabilities The acquisition brings Weber Shandwick's proficiency in integrated communications, social strategy and data & analytics as well as That Lot's capabilities in social-first, platform-specific content and production under one roof.In fact, this is a part of Interpublic’s continuous efforts to boost its multi-platform capabilities and expand client base globally. The move follows the acquisition of Brazilian digital marketing and technology specialist, Cappuccino, in May 2018, and the buyouts of New York-based digital shops — Bomoda and Resolute — in 2017 as well as the London-based mobile firm Flipside in 2016.The transaction is also likely to boost revenues at Interpublic’s Constituency Management Group segment (which includes Weber Shandwick). In the first quarter of 2018, the segment performed well. Net revenues totaled $292.7 million (16% of total net revenues), up 3% year over year. The Interpublic Group of Companies Revenue (TTM) Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc.
