In the last trading session, U.S. stocks exhibited the best gains in April so far, thanks to the rally in oil prices. Among the top ETFs, investors saw SPY gain 0.93%, DIA move higher 0.94% and QQQ rise 0.84% on the day. Two more specialized ETFs are worth noting as both saw trading volume that was far outside of normal. In fact, both these funds experienced volume levels that were more than double their average for the most recent trading session. This could make these ETFs the ones to watch out for in the days ahead to see if this trend of extra-interest continues: GMM: Volume 2.82 times average This emerging market ETF was in focus on Tuesday as roughly 120,000 shares moved hands compared to an average of roughly 42,500 shares. We also saw some stock price movement as GMM added about 1.7%. The movement can largely be attributed to a rebound in exports and hopes of further monetary stimulus in China that can have a big impact on the emerging market stocks like what we find in this ETF portfolio. In the last one-month period, GMM was up 3.6%. The fund carries a Zacks ETF Rank #3 (Hold). DWTI: Volume 2.20 times average This inverse crude oil ETN was under the microscope yesterday as about 3.6 million shares moved hands compared with an average of more than 1.6 million shares. We also saw some price movement as DWTI lost 11.4% in the last session. The big move was largely the result of the rebound in oil prices in hopes of supply tightening. In the past one-month period, DWTI was down nearly 22.8%. Want the latest recommendations from Zacks Investment Research? Today, you can download 7 Best Stocks for the Next 30 Days.
