Varian Medical Systems VAR recently installed a Varian ProBeam cyclotron at University College Hospitals London NHS Foundation Trust’s (“UCLH”) proton beam therapy center. Notably, cyclotron is a particle accelerator which accelerates protons to two thirds the speed of light for clinical use.
