Enterprise Products Partners L.P. EPD increased its quarterly cash distribution paid to partners to $0.395 per common unit, or $1.58 per unit on an annualized basis.The distribution rate for the first quarter corresponds to the distribution Enterprise’s management intended to recommend to its general partner’s board, according to the press release dated Jan 4, 2016.The quarterly distribution will be paid on May 6, 2016 to unitholders on record at the close of business on Apr 29, 2016. This is the 56th distribution hike since Enterprise’s initial public offering in 1998. Also, this is the 47th time that the company has increased its quarterly payout. The distribution signifies a 5.3% increase over the distribution in the first quarter of 2015.Enterprise, a leading master limited partnership (MLP), is engaged in providing a wide range of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGL), and crude oil.The partnership's assets include about 49,000 miles of onshore and offshore pipelines, approximately 250 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, refined products and crude oil, and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.Enterprise divides its operations into five segments: Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Pipelines & Services, Onshore Natural Gas Pipelines & Services, Petrochemical & Refined Product Services, Offshore Pipelines & Services and Onshore Crude Oil Pipelines & Services.Currently, Enterprise carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
