Paypal (PYPL) Dips More Than Broader Markets: What You Should Know

Paypal (PYPL) closed the most recent trading day at $114.54, moving -0.93% from the previous trading session. This move lagged the S&P 500's daily loss of 0.04%. Elsewhere, the Dow lost 0.05%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq lost 0.01%.

Heading into today, shares of the technology platform and digital payments company had gained 8.23% over the past month, outpacing the Computer and Technology sector's loss of 1.99% and the S&P 500's gain of 0.34% in that time.

Investors will be hoping for strength from PYPL as it approaches its next earnings release. The company is expected to report EPS of $0.69, up 18.97% from the prior-year quarter.
