Amazon (AMZN) Gains As Market Dips: What You Should Know

Amazon (AMZN) closed the most recent trading day at $1,831.73, moving +0.65% from the previous trading session. This move outpaced the S&P 500's daily loss of 0.03%. Elsewhere, the Dow lost 0.36%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq lost 0.04%.

Heading into today, shares of the online retailer had lost 6.24% over the past month, outpacing the Retail-Wholesale sector's loss of 7.72% and lagging the S&P 500's loss of 3.08% in that time.
