Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. APD announced that it will feature its portfolio of epoxy curatives, resins and diluents, and additives for industrial and institutional coatings under Versum Materials, the new company name of its Materials Technologies business, at the American Coatings Show. Some of the products that will be featured include defoamers and deaerators such as the Airase Structured Siloxane Defoamers Line (SSDL) that ensure predictable performance and a faster selection. The products will also include pigment grind aids such as ZetaSperse 3800 – the company's newest broad utility dispersant. Products showcased will also include dispersants such as Surfynol 107L, which offers a range of surface active performance benefits, is nonfoaming, and will disrupt the foam stabilization properties of other formulation components. The company will also feature superwetters such as Dynol 960 and 980 for improved flow and leveling. Moreover, epoxy curing agents and modifiers such as Anquamine curing agents, Amicurecuring agents and polycarbamides, and chemical resistant epoxy curing agents will be presented. Air Products' senior principal applications chemist will share study results, reviewing the chemistry and application properties of polycarbamide technology in direct-to-metal and top-coat formulations that have been benchmarked against aliphatic polyurethanes and other competing technologies. This show gives the company a lucrative opportunity to showcase various new and advanced technologies for the coatings market. In September last year, Air Products announced its intent to separate its Materials Technologies business through a tax-free spin-off. Post the divestiture, which is expected to be complete on or before Sep 2016, the unit will be named Versum Materials. Air Products carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
